Eric Blue functions in the role of chief executive officer and chief investment officer with Valler Holdings Corp. in Washington, DC with additional offices in London and Abu Dhabi. In this capacity, he oversees the development and execution of an investment strategy focused on investing in publicly traded and privately held companies operating in durable industries and led by management teams that share similar values with those of the Valler management team. The company’s investing school of thought is that of a value investor with a long duration hold disposition.
Prior to taking on his current leadership role, Mr. Blue spent time as a corporate associate at two international law firms , where he gained significant experience representing publicly traded and privately held companies in M&A, capital markets and corporate governance matters. Mr. Blue also worked as an investment banker at global investment bank in its New York office where he provided strategic advisory services to privately held and publicly traded consumer product companies. In addition to his legal and advisory experience, Mr. Blue was also the founder of a private investment platform that ran both a control investing strategy as a a SMID Cap Value liquid equity strategy that collectively managed over $650mm in capital. He studied mathematics at Xavier University of Louisiana, where he made the dean’s list and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science. Mr. Blue went on to earn his juris doctor from the University of Texas School of Law, where he ranked in the top 10 percent of his graduating class.
